Vintage style
This trend is based on 50's style - think Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Grace Kelly.
Designers turned this trend around into modern pieces - a high-waist here, a vintage print there - and the results can be very sexy and will definitely show your curvy 'assets'. Those type of swimwear will be great for ladies who have a bit of belly to hide and still look great! :)

Ruffled swimwear has no distinct style 'rules'. Instead we've seen it styled in a different ways for spring S/S 11. Ruffles add interesting twist to a normal plain bikini and can really flatter someone who wants to add a bit of a volume to your upper body. If you have slim/athletic body shape I would definitely go with that style!

One Shoulder Bikini
This trend been popular since 2009 but the one shoulder bikini is not the swimwear trend, but it's still a great look and definitely a way to wear it in 2011 & 2012. Ladies - it's all about the statement shoulder! For this season go with a think single shoulder strap and pick the colour contrast between the strap and the rest of the bikini. This bikini will flatter most of the body shapes (make sure you pick the right colour to complement your skin tone) and if you looking for a bold statement bikini I would definitely go with that style.

Digital print swimwear
Digital prints are everywhere in spring / summer 2011 and this trend definitely been used by swimwear designers too. For this season, however, the style takes its queues from the sports-as-fashion street wear trend and sees the print applied to swimwear that is more functional then fashionable. It's a huge trend and if you want to look different and have an eye catching design go for this type of design. Styling tip - to lengthen the body pair a printed bikini top with a block-coloured bottom, drawing the attention upwards. Go for high cut thighs instead so as to not shorten the legs further.

I really like the swimsuit with the zipper on it and the vintage style swimsuits. Is it me or is more coverage flattering?
